Brazilian Limeade

Jacquelynn Sokol, from the kitchen of Katie Lowder.

2 limes
1/2 cup sugar
3 T. sweetened condensed milk
3 cups water
ice

1. Wash limes. Cut off ends and slice into 8 wedges. Place limes in a blender with sugar, condensed milk, water and ice.
2. Blend in an electric blender. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove rinds. Serve over ice. Enjoy!

( I strain it with just the lime and water and then add the other ingredients and blend it again.)

Christmas Hot Punch

Karen Sokol

When I was a freshman living at Tingey Hall in 1971, we visited Elder and Sister Robert L. Simpson in their home at Christmas time. They served Christmas cookies and this punch to all 70 of us. After visiting them, we went to Temple Square to see the lights.

5 quarts water

3 c. sugar

18 whole cloves

3 cinnamon sticks

Bring all ingredients to a gentle boil; simmer for 15 minutes. Strain to remove whole spices.

Add 1 can frozen orange juice and 1 can lemonade.
