Washington state apple pie

Use crust recipe of choice, I use Karen’s.

Filling:

4-6 green apples (golden delicious is preferable) peeled, sliced, and cut into chunks

1/2 c. sugar

2 T. flour

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix all ingredients and put in crust

Topping:

3/4 c. sugar

3/4 c. flour

3/4 c. butter softened

Use two butter knives to cut ingredients together or a piecrust mixer to mix ingredients. Add crumbled pieces to top of pie. Bake at 400 for 55 minutes.
