Lasagna

1 lb. ground beef

1 clove garlic

1 T. chopped parsley

1 T. basil

1 tsp. Salt

1 lb. can (2 c.) tomatoes

1 6 oz. cans tomato paste

1 10 oz. package lasagna noodles

1 lb. mozzarella cheese sliced thin

1 12 oz. carton large curd cream style cottage cheese

2 beaten eggs

1 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Pepper

2 T. chopped parsley

1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese


Brown meat. Spoon off the excess fat. Add next 6 ingredients to meat. Simmer uncovered until thick, 30-45 minutes stirring occasionally. Cook noodles. Combine cottage cheese with next five ingredients. Place half the mixture over noodles in 13x 9 x 2 “ baking dish. Spread half the cottage cheese mixture over; add half the mozzarella cheese and half the meat mixture. Repeat layers. Bake in oven 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Let it stand 10 to 15 minutes before cutting in squares. Serves 12.
