Hamburger Pie

Make pastry for a 9" two crust pie. Roll out and place bottom layer of crust into pie plate. Set aside, make filling.

Filling:

Brown and cook 1 lb. lean ground beef, drain and set aside.

Put the following in a fry pan with 1 T. oil:

1/2 cup chopped celery

2 T. chopped onion

1/4 cup chopped green pepper

1/2 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. pepper

Cook vegetables for about 5 minutes. Add cooked ground beef.

Add 1 can zesty cheese soup or tomato soup. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

Fill pastry lined pie plate. Top with crust. Bake in 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. Cut in wedges and serve.
