Dumplings

Karen Sokol

This is my Grandma Kate's recipe that she used when making stew or soup. She initialed all her recipes, dated, and noted where the came from. My mother told me that she was very aware of nutrition and loved cooking well-balanced meals for her family. Many of our family favorites are her original recipes.

1 small, rounding c. flour

1 heaping tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1 tsp. sugar

2 eggs, well beaten

About 1/2 cup whole milk to make very soft dough about like oatmeal cookie dough--a little softer

Add milk to egg, and then add dry ingredients

Drop into boiling soup and cook in Dutch Oven pan for 20 minutes slow or low flame just to keep boiling.
