Chocolate Chip Cookies


Bernice Berntsen Pierson's original recipe, 1959.

Cream together in a mixer:

1 lb. butter or margarine

1 lb. brown sugar

1½ c. sugar

Beat in 4 eggs

Add:

1 T. soda

1 tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

6-7 c. flour

1 tsp. water

1-12 oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mix well. Drop by Tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 375 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes. Do not over bake.

Makes 6 dozen.
