Another favorite at Christmastime. We usually double this recipe and use an 11 X 15" pan.
1/4 lb. (1 stick) butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. crushed graham crackers
1 c. flake coconut
6 oz. chocolate chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips, optional
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. chopped walnuts
In a 9 X 13" pan, melt butter in the preheated oven. Take out before it gets too hot. Add vanilla, sprinkle graham cracker crumbs evenly over melted butter. Sprinkle coconut over crackers, then chocolate chips, then butterscotch chips if you are using them. Sprinkle 1/2 of the nuts next and then dribble the milk evenly. End with the last 1/2 chopped nuts on top of it all. Bake 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Cool. Cut in squares.
