1 lb. ziti pasta
* can add Italian Sausage if desired
Ziti Sauce:
4 c. tomato sauce
2 c. alfredo sauce
1/2 c. ricotta cheese
1/2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 t. garlic powder
1/4 c. fontina cheese, shredded
Mix all 6 ingredients for sauce together and reserve 1/4 c.
Ziti Topping:
1/4 c. grated Romano cheese
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 c. Italian breadcrumbs
1 T. garlic, minced
3 T. vegetable oil
3 T. parsley, chopped
Mix all 7 ingredients together and set aside
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook pasta (less than al dente), drain, add hot pasta to ziti sauce, setting aside the 1/4 c. you reserved. Spray 12x13 dish. Spread 1/4 c. sauce on dish. Pour in pasta. Distribute 1 c. mozzarella cheese on top of pasta. Top with ziti topping. Bake 25-30 min, until topping is lightly browned.
