Gingerbread (for Gingerbread houses)

My mother makes these every year for the grandkids in Las Vegas to decorate together. We have started making them with our family in Utah.


1/3 c. brown sugar

1¾ c. flour

3 tsp. baking powder

1/2 t. salt

1 tsp. ginger

2/3 c. molasses

1 egg

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. cloves

1/2 c. oil


Mix together and roll out thin on a cookie sheet.
