1 T. butter
1 T. flour
1 c. milk
1 c. cream
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
Melt butter in saucepan and then add flour. Cook, stirring constantly for about one minute. Whisk in milk, cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese. Do not boil.
